As a young adult, Pastor Zak received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and acknowledged a calling to preach the Gospel. That experience prompted a lifelong commitment to Christ and His teaching. Pastor Zak and his wife, Vanessa Zak, are Alabama natives who moved to the Orlando area in 1988. Ever since Pastor Zak has been serving Greater Orlando as a pastor. During this time, he has earned a reputation as a visionary leader and has been called “One of Central Florida’s Most Powerful Pastors” by the Orlando CBS affiliate, WKMG-TV 6.
In 2004, he and his wife founded Rejoice in the Lord Ministries, a nondenominational ministry located in Central Florida. Pastor Zak believes that by ushering people into passionate and heartfelt worship of God, and by providing them with the guidance of the Holy Word, God's people will live rich and purposeful lives. With an engaging and energizing style, Pastor Zak delivers messages that are relevant, powerful, and practical.
Pastor Zak was a co-founder and former chairman of the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Alliance, Inc. He is a past president of the Orlando chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He has also participated in various community panels and Orlando area civic projects. He is a past member of the boards of the Central Florida YMCA and the Metropolitan Orlando Urban League. Pastor Zak and his work have been featured in publications such as Ebony and Jet. Upscale Magazine named him as one of the nation’s top spiritual leaders, serving as a “guiding light” and “exemplifying excellence” in community efforts. Pastor Zak earned a Bachelor of Science from Spring Hill College in Alabama and a Master of Divinity from Phillips School of Theology in Georgia. He is the author of “Winning is Everything” (Urban Ministries, 2003). His wife, Vanessa, who has worked fulltime in the ministry with Pastor Zak, graduated from the University of Mobile with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
Pastor Zak and his wife are the parents of four children: Ashley, Shalom, Joan, and Justice.
